Embossing is the ancient art of producing a raised design on either paper or card. A stencil, an embossing tool and a source of light are all you need to get started. Tack your stencil onto embossing paper with low tack tape, turn over and position on your light box. When the light source is turned on, the "cut-out" stencil design will appear lighter. Use an embossing tool to press the paper down into these areas. When the paper is turned over, your embossed design will appear! Specialist papers and metal foil are available to enhance and add extra dimension to your designs.
