The History

Cardcraft Plus is a family run business based in Preston, Lancashire, owned and started by Ann and David Newhouse. We have been retailing crafts since 1990, beginning with a shop in the centre of Preston. We began to exhibit at all the major craft shows in the year 2000 and have since expanded to become a leading mail order company in the Papercraft field, for cardmaking products.

Daniel Newhouse was the first employee in 2001, with overall charge of the mail order service, marketing and anything technical. Having had enough of working from home, we made the decision to take on a purpose built unit.

The company has since moved on leaps and bounds. In the last few years we have employed a wide variety of staff from telephone order clerks, stock control assistants to pickers and packers. We have also moved away from those useless black and white supplements and now have our own 68-page full colour catalogue.

Regular customers at the shows will also know that Adam Newhouse joined in 2003 to help with increased demand at the craft shows - and take the weight off those old shoulders!
